About Chocolate & Wine Festival

The concept of a community chocolate festival began with a dream shared between the creative and motivated individuals in Montrose to offer a new weekend event.  During 2007, several Susquehanna County wineries began to present chocolate truffles flavored by their best wines. This classic pairing of chocolate and wine encouraged the inclusion of wine in the festival. Now, with the dedicated assistance of community members, the Montrose Chocolate and Wine Festival is on the calendar for May 16, 2009!

Festival guests will have the unique experience of tasting chocolate and wine, patronizing vendors and local businesses, participating in a chocolate dessert recipe contest, and so much more!

We are currently looking for area businesses and individuals to help sponsor the First Annual Montrose Chocolate and Wine Festival.  Donations and sponsorship provided by community members, like yourself, will assist the committee with planning events such as movies, live music, and live chocolate demonstrations, as well as securing advertising, production of festival t-shirts, and production of complimentary festival wine glasses.  Proceeds from the ticket sales, as well as donations, will be presented to Montrose’s local library and hospital construction projects.  In order to achieve these goals and exceed expectations, we are requesting your support.  Please view the following documents which list the multiple sponsorship options.
