Chocolate & Wine Festival Juried Art Show

Enter your art in the Chocolate & Wine Festival Juried Art Show. The show will be displayed at the Butternut Gallery in Montrose, PA. Opening is 7 - 9 PM on Friday, May 14, 2010 at the gallery. $20. first entry, $10. each additional entry Each artist may submit up to three works

Jurying
Works will be juried from the original for quality, content and space

April 29, 30 May 1 art due at the gallery
May 4 notice of unaccepted work sent
May 6, 7, 8 unaccepted work pick up
May 14 opening reception and awards
May 15 Chocolate & Wine Festival, 3 – 7pm
June 5 exhibit closes at 5:00pm

All delivery and pick up of work is during regular gallery hours 11:00 – 5:00

Categories, Requirements & Eligibility
• All media are accepted except electronic
• All work must be original / no giclees
• All work must have been completed within the past two years
• All work must be for sale
• All two dimensional work must be less than 48" in any direction, framed and wired for hanging
• All three dimensional work must weigh less than 120 lbs.; please contact the gallery if a pedestal is necessary
• All artists will be asked to sign a waiver relinquishing The Butternut Gallery & Second Story Books of responsibility for damage to work
• All artists must be 18 years old or older
• THE GALLERY IS ON THE SECOND FLOOR, PLAN ACCORDINGLY

Theme
Focus – Exploring Our Regional Sense of Place celebrates the artists´ unique perspective of the place they live.

Sales
Standard gallery commission is 30%.
Sales will be encouraged and the gallery commission will be donated to the library and hospital building funds.

Jurors
John Wilkerson is a venture capitalist based in NYC.

He and his wife, Barbara, have a long standing involvement in the fields of conservation, horticulture and the arts.  He is the past President of the Board of the American Folk Art Museum where he continues to serve as a trustee.

John is also a member of the Cornell Council and on the advisory boards of the Johnson Museum at Cornell University, the Grey Gallery of New York University and the Kluge Ruhe Museum at the University of Virginia.

John is a past President of the Board of the Atlantic Health Care System of Northern New Jersey and is currently a Board member of the John Hopkins Berman Institute of BioEthics.

John and Barbara Wilkerson collect American folk art, outsider art, African tribal sculpture, aboriginal paintings and outdoor sculpture.
