Janice & the Hall Monitors
Good things come out of wine & chocolate. Three great local musians, Corky Staats, Janice Hall & John Puzo, were sitting around Janice's new farmhouse, sippen' wine & taking in the chocolate, when they had the warm fuzzy thoughts that only wine & chocolate produce, resulting in "Janice & the Hall Monitors." The trio brings years of talent to this great five piece smokin' blues band with Corky on guitar & flute & vocals, John on bass & vocals and Janice centered on lead vocals. They also enlisted the blues harmonica of Carl Hagstrum and on drums, the greatest female drummer of all time, Ellen Mulligan. This band will make you wanna groove.....
Janice & the Hall Monitors....it's like the musical version of wine & chocolate - an out of this world experience!
The Joe Weldon Jazz Ensamble
83 years ago this august, Joe Weldon arrived on this earth. After serving in WWII, Joe studied voice & piano in Philadelphia. He returned to Montrose, set up his jazz emsamble & has never stopped playing gigs here in the northeast. Also joining him for this gig is longtime friend & fellow member of local 380, John Stellabott on bass. John also started playing in the Philly area & settled here in the endless mountains. Joe & John look forward to kicking off the Wine & Chocolate fest, setting the mood for a sweet warm fuzzy day.....
Lonnie Griffiths Band
The Lonnie Griffiths Band is bassist Carlos Arias, drummers Tom Griffiths and Ellen Mulligan and singer, songwriter, and guitarist Lonnie Griffiths. Tom, Ellen and Carlos have helped Lonnie develop a sound that is uniquely the Lonnie Griffiths Band sound.
When the band isn't playing gigs, they're in the studio recording many original songs including Find Again, Follow You Home, All This Time, I Will Walk With You, Sunshine and Fade. CD release is planned for late summer.
The festival is proudly presenting music for everyone. Come enjoy and have a really good time!
